The Morrigan

The Morrigan is a Celtic goddess. She is mostly connected to war and sovereignty. Her name may mean “Phantom Queen” or “Great Queen,” and both suit her, implying her dominance and eerie nature. She is a triple goddess comprised of the aspects of Macha, Nemain, and Badb, though she does not fit into the maiden-mother-crone mold.

The Morrigan is a dark crow goddess. Through her connection to battle, she exerts immense control over the state of a land and teaches us the importance of autonomy.
